Yes, Easter would appear to have snuck up on us again, and so before taking a break for it, I just wanted to send you my very best wishes, whatever your way of celebrating  this time of year (or not).

For me, nature and the arrival of new life and hope is always key in spring, hence this image.

It's Not St. Patrick's Day Yet, But...

I know it's not St Patrick's Day yet...nor even in any way spring. But it's also true that a lot of people like to make their cards well ahead of time. To help that along therefore, this new St Patrick's day digital pen-and-wash painting (minus the boundingsquirrel watermark, obviously) is available as a downloadable card front sheet here. The sheet includes plenty of other messages and tags, and room for your own embellishments, so you can also use it to wish someone luck at any time of year.

Daily Illustration #42: St Patrick's Day Doodles-Free for Web Projects

It's a well-known fact (and joke) that I never seem to be able to produce items in their correct season. So yes, this is a doodle that should be for March 17th, but is (naturally!) being published in February.

On the other hand, it means that if you want to use this for St Patrick's Day web posts or whatever, you're in plenty of time and you can. (It isn't a high enough resolution for print projects).

If you use it, please keep the watermark. Credit and a link would be appreciated but not required, and copyright stays with me. Make sense?

Happy St Patrick's Day...

We live in a part of London that celebrates St Patrick's Day very seriously indeed. Which of course means there will be as much merriment as possible tonight.

So, although I only have Irish ancestors, it seems appropriate to get into the spirit of the thing with this little picture. The basic idea was, "Why not create the look of a sampler for a traditional Celtic blessing, in the same way that people have always done for biblical verses?"

Anyway, enjoy. As ever, although I created this a couple of weeks ago I *still* didn't get my act together in time to put it on sale anywhere for March 17th. Maybe March 17th 2014, instead...

However, you can send and enjoy it as a free ecard whenever you wish, and not just on St Patrick's Day.
