A Happy New Year Card

Image shows a square card, with hand drawn champagne glasses clinking, surrounded by pink and purple painted balloons and streamers, on a sparkly purple, pink, blue white and silver background
A Happy New Year Card

Hello there

Assuming that you're reading this when it's scheduled to go out, I hope you've had/are having wonderful festivities or holiday time.

As I say, this a scheduled post that I pre-typed some time ago from your point of view, as like a lot of people (in the UK at least) am taking a full break until early January.

However, with you're already on the hunt for New Year cards, the image above is for you.

Full disclosure: this is a design that I've been selling for years, but don't ever seem to have put on the blog for some reason.

How to download this

If you're wanting to send this as an ecard, please feel free to click on the image and download it.

If you'd like to print and use it and/or remove the attribution for the image, the card sheet to make it is also available here.

And with all of that said, I hope this helps, and will leave you to get on with your day, whatever that looks like for you.

More soon.

Hello there

Hope life is treating you well right now. And, either late for last week, or early for this one, but just in time for spring's arrival this week, is a fun little daffodil for whom spring has most definitely sprung on its leaves. (Digital line and wash watercolour in Rebelle 7 and Krita 5).

(And yes, I know it isn't spring everywhere, and if that's the case for you, please look here instead ;-) ).

Feel like spreading some springtime joy?

If you'd like to use this illustration in your own personal blog or on social media, you're most welcome to do so (download instructions are under the main image, above). If you us eit, please keep the watermark on it. Any further links or credit back to Clare Walker, BoundingSquirrel.com is always lovely, but never required.

If you fancy spreading some springtime joy a little further with this cheery daffodil, will just share that am finding it particularly cute on postcards and  pins/badges  in my Redbubble shop.

Image is a photo of a pin badge bearing the same daffodil design described in the last image.

Hello there

Hoping you're well and thriving today. And as you can see above, it's time again for a "month illustration" freebie (in this case, the warmth and strawberries of July). Southern hemisphere people, I hear you, and know it isn't summer everywhere. I'm British, and it often isn't summer in July here either :-) . But seriously, if you have a different perception of months and their symbols, please let me know what they are, and I'll see if I can illustrate them for you.

Anyway, how about grabbing this freebie graphic?

So if you'd like to use the "July Strawberry," graphic above  in a project, video or newsletter, go ahead and right-click and save (or click, or tap, depending upon your device) the image above. Links back and credit are always appreciated, but never required.

And if you'd like to let me know how you use it, please do, 'cos 1) I'm curious, and 2) I might be able to feature *your* project in a future blog post.

Even more strawberry-ishness

Update on Jan 31st: After some howls of protest at my gentle attempt to sell this, I've decided that this, like previous monthly illustrations, should also be a freebie. (And yes, where a purchase has been made already, I've refunded it, though with many thanks).

Instead,  this illustration now makes beautiful greeting card, sticker, postcard,  and journal, over at Redbubble.

New "Butterflies & Aquilegias" Mini-Kit for Cardmakers and Papercrafters

How are you doing? There are so many ways to adjust to our temporary "new normal," I hope you've found the ones that are just right for you.

One of my strategies has simple been to keep designing. But it can be challenging to keep inspiration flowing amid all the changes. This week, I struck lucky, and was able to complete a design request for a customer. (She's fine with this going on general sale too, by the way).

And so, am happy to present a new mini-kit to you, "Butterflies and Aquilegias".

The kit includes a card front optional decoupage layers (that you can also use as embellishments too, a gift tag, verse, sentiments, blank insert and printable background paper).

As well as making a fab card, you could also use them again and again in other scrapbooking and craft projects.

So, if you're wanting to bring a bit of summer into your locked-down life (or your life, if you're reading this later) you can download the kit straight away here.

And if you make it and want to sell the finished card, please remember that's completely fine under my terms of use. (If you have pictures, that would also be awesome, and I can help share them on social media if you wish).

In any event, enjoy, and hope you have the loveliest weekend you can.

More soon.
