New Cartoon Card (And I Got to Draw a Giraffe Again...)

Hello there

Hope you're well, and in the mood for some fun.

Have realised it's been ages since I posted a cartoon. So here's one  that's also now a card.

(with many thanks to the person who received it first for your positive feed back-not called Jan, obviously-that feedback is the reason I posted this for sale).

Looking back, it also seems that I have a bit of a track-record in enjoying drawing giraffes. I have another giraffe cartoon here, and an illustration from even further back, here.

(Yes, without wishing to ignore the lion on this card,  I do love drawing giraffes...It's something about their eyelashes, I think...)

Anywaaaaaaay....

Also, in my world this week...

Also, in truth, am knee-deep in doing all sorts of Christmas and seasonal designs that I just don't have the heart to share with you in the midst of what (in the Northern hemisphere, anyway) is prime summer holiday time. It feels like it wouldn't be fair.

However, hope this cartoon makes you smile. And if you have a friend who likes wildlife, remember you can customise the text on this card to say whatever you want.

In any event, hope this is fun. More soon.

"The Animal Takeover" Cartoon (Day 47/100 and 2nd Lockdown Cartoon).

Bear with me. Am still processing the idea of a second lockdown in the UK.

One of the things that made it easier last time was the fact that nature and wildlife seemed to benefit so much from the absence of humans.

Which led, in the weird and whimsical way that things do, to this cartoon (digitally painted in Krita).

Day 39: Polar Bears and Northern Lights Cartoon

This seemed appropriate as the nights have started drawing in and the clocks have just turned back...

A Deer Fawn Clip Art Freebie

Hello again-hope life is treating you well.

It's been a few weeks since any free clip art appeared for you around these parts. So, in order to put that right, here is a cute little deer fawn for your enjoyment in any projects that take your fancy. Just right-click on the image and save to download.

As a heads-up... This particular image is a piece of watercolour pen-and-wash clip-art, drawn and painted on paper, and then scanned in. As it's therefore *very* handmade, imperfections are inevitably part of that process, please expect them and enjoy them.

If you're interested, I'll post more on  this more traditional process at another time. But for now, hope you enjoy this cute little deer fawn clip art in your projects.

Take care and more soon.

PS: Update on 21st August 2020: This little fawn wanted to go further, and is now part of a snowscene on cards and other items at Redbubble.

Free Happy Birthday Animal E Card To Share

Hello again! Hope life's treating you well.

Today's offering is a shareable "Happy Birthday" e-card featuring a range of cute animals making their way across the card. Obviously,  perfect for animal lovers and pet owners, but could also send a whole load of cuteness to other people as well.

Just right-click or tap and save the image and it's yours to send electronically (and therefore deliberately lower resolution).

If you fancy the full printed card (which also has no "shared from," watermark) it's available to buy here.

Hope this helps. More soon!

Free Chinese New Year of the Rat Clip Art

Though there's much else going on in China right now, it's also Chinese New Year this weekend.

Image of a cute clip art rat holding a heart
As I know I have some blog readers who also use Feng Shui and have various other connections to China, I thought you might enjoy using this happy little rat (it being the start of the Year of the Rat) in your projects. The usual angel policy terms apply, and you can just right-click to download. (He's not huge in size,  but would work well in web-based or small-scale projects).

And of course, it's fine to use him at any time, and not just in relation to Chinese New Year.

More soon.
